Camille Lemaître

Camille Lemaître is a PhD student in environmental planning at the Université de Montréal and a member of the UNESCO Chair in Urban Landscape. She holds an MSc in Public Health, specializing in environment, from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2025). Over the course of her academic and professional journey, she has focused on the transformation of post-industrial landscapes in Belgium and Scotland, and on preventing environmental damage and health risks through urban planning. Her doctoral research focuses on the sustainable development of continental hydrographic basins, and more specifically on adaptive planning for river territories facing multiple climate-related events. She explores how the systemic impacts of these events can be prevented early on, using robust decision-support frameworks. Her work contributes to Rivers in Commons (Fleuves en communs), an initiative of the UNESCO Chair in Urban Landscape.
